Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 squeeze on Eeepc 1215p

>Hi everybody!
I’m writing this post directly from my brand new Asus Eeepc 1215p, just to let you know it’s working fine :)
I’ve installed Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 squeeze daily build (net install, non-gtk installer) from a USB stick, and now almost everything is at its place.
Here you can find what’s under the hood, in case you’re interested:

IMPORTANT NOTES
You need the daily build image, otherwise the atl1c driver wont recognize the Ethernet card (and with a netinst image, you NEED the Ethernet card).
You won’t be able to use the wireless card unless you add the non-free repository to /etc/apt/sources.list and install the firmware-brcm80211 package.
There’s quite an issue with the audio: with default setting speakers and headphones work good, but the microphone doesn’t; if you add to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf the line

options snd-hda-intel model=basic

the microphone will work, but the headphones won’t; I still don’t know how to fix this, but given that I rarely use the microphone, I’ll use default setting most of the time.
UPDATE 1: I updated the alsa driver to 1.0.23; now adding to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf the line

options snd-hda-intel model=auto

audio is perfect: inserting the headphones jack mutes the speakers, and the microphone is working.
:) :) :)
with alsa 1.0.21 alsamixer said my audio chip was Realtek ALC269, now with 1.0.23 it has become Realtek ALC259 (mumble)

Something is rotten in the state of Ethernet: after an hour or so it stops working :(. Nothing is written in dmesg, and I don’t know where else to check; it’s really strange, because I can use the wireless card for 5 hours nonstop (WPA encryption) without problems, but not the ethernet: this must be investigated.
UPDATE 1: removing and re-adding the atl1c module (the ethernet card driver) the card comes back to life, dunno if it’s a definitive solution.
